How to Stop Using Alarm Clock and Wake Up Early
1. You are always jolted wide awake:
The thing with alarm clocks is the way they tend to jolt people awake. You might have noticed that whenever your alarm goes off, you feel a sudden shock from sleep, and when you wake up, your heart rate is high. Studies have shown that this is harmful to one’s blood pressure and mental health.
2. Your sleep is restless:
Most especially when you sleep late. You sleep with the knowledge that in a few hours, you’ll be awake again. This will cause you to have a restless night, and you might wake up feeling worse than when you went to sleep.
So instead of setting alarms, what do you do?
Train your body clock:
You might have noticed that, sometimes, you wake up on your own, let’s say by five am, and this might continue to happen every day, you just wake up on your own around that time. This is called conditioning. What happens is that your body clock has adjusted to waking up by that time. And this happens only when you go to bed early. Cultivate the habit of sleeping early, so you can wake up early, feeling as refreshed as possible, and prepared for a great day.
